is the daughter of Thomas Peter of Corsbasket. She was born on 12 August 1759, probably at Cardarroch in Cadder parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland, for her baptism was registered at Cadder on 15 August 1759. Lillias Peter died before 29 March 1774, the date upon which her three surviving sisters, Isobel, Margaret and Jean Peter, gave up the testament dative and inventory of their deceased father.
