Mother of Alvin McKee dies at 79 - - Mrs. Lillie G. McKee, 79, Lyons, Ind. mother of Alvin R. McKee of Culver with whom she made her home for the past 16 months, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Robert Long Hospital, Indianapolis, where she had been a patient for one day.
She had been a patient at Parkview for several days prior to being transferred to the Indianapolis Hospital by the Easterday-Bonnine ambulance of Culver.
Born at Calvertsville, Ind. on April 25, 1886, Mrs. McKee was the daughter of James T. and Polly (Long) Vandeventer, a Lifelong resident of Lyons, she was a member of the Lyons Church of Christ.
Surviving with the son in Culver are another son Lowell McKee of Lyons, and a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Hennebohle of Pinellas Park, Fla.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Lyons church of Chirst, with the pastor Voris Carpenter, and Rev. Harley E. Walker pastor of the Central Church of Christ, Plymouth, officianting.
Burial followed in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Lyons."
