Much sympathy will be felt with Mr and Mrs J. D. Faulkner in the loss of their eldest daughter Lily, who died yesterday, after only a few days illness, in the Auckland Hospital. News reached her parents at the beginning of the week that she was ill and her mother went up by the steamer on Wednesday, arriving only a few hours before her daughter's death.
