About Lisa Greta Abrahamsdotter Åkerberg
Lisa Greta took care of John Alfred Cederholm, who had lost his parents short after returning home from America. At an age of 66 she was on her way with another woman from Rejpelt in a small boat off shore. The boat was collecting sheep home for winter from the grassing pasture on small islands. The two Rejpelt women travelling along to deliver greetings from Amerika to relatives at Kvimo. The boat turned around at see and five persons drowned, among them Lisa Greta. Only two men survived the storm clinging on to the boat.
After this accident my grandfather Alfred Cederholm moved off to live on his own as a pupil learning painting from a known painter ( Törnqvist) nearby in our village Rejpelt. He became a known church painter, painted furniture (marble immitations, mahogany) and gold plating. She was Alfreds aunt. The other woman who drowned was Lovisa Back from Pörnull. She was 36 years old. Lisa Greta and Lovisa had arrived home from from America and were bringing news from over there.
