DEATH CLAIMS AGED WOMAN
Mrs. Lois Armstrong, 89, Passes Away at Home in Shelocta
From the infirmities of age, she having passed her 89th birthday Mar. tenth last, Mrs. Lois C. Armstrong, well-known resident of Shelocta for the past 27 years, passed away at her home there Friday morning at 2:45 o'clock. The deceased was a daughter of Alexander and Jane (Armstrong) Clark and was born near Elderton. At the age of 17 she united with the membership of the Elderton United Presbyterian Church. Her life was one of good deeds and she held the affection and esteem of a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. The deceased leaves these children: Mrs. Daniel Manners and Mrs. H. C. Farren, both of Indiana; Mrs. H. F. Culbertson and Mrs. George E. Chatham, both of Altoona; Mrs. H. B. Smith of West Lebanon; Mrs. J. Grier Clark of Johnstown and Miss Charlotte Armstrong of Shelocta. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in her late residence at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon by the Rev. V. E. Wright. Burial will be made in Elderton Cemetery.

DEATH AND BURIAL OF MRS. ARMSTRONG
Mother of Mrs. J. G. Clark of This City, Passes Away in Her 89th Year
Mrs. Lois C. Armstrong, mother of Mrs. J. Grier Clark, of Morrellville, died Friday evening at her home in Shelocta, Indiana County, in her 89th year. Her death was due to general debility. Funeral services were held this afternoon by the Rev. V. E. Wright, with interment in the Elderton Cemetery. The deceased was a daughter of Alexander and Jane (Armstrong) Clark and was born near Elderton. At the age of 17 she united with the membership of the Elderton United Presbyterian Church. Her life was one of good deeds and she held the affection and esteem of a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. The deceased leaves these children: Mrs. Daniel Manners and Mrs. H. C.
