LORENZO PETT
Lorenzo Lee Pett 3/29/1922 ~ 7/4/2010 Lorenzo Lee Pett was born on March 29, 1922 in Brigham City, Utah to Alice Berg and James W. Pett. The family moved to the Las Vegas area of Bard in 1929.
In 1942 he moved to Culver City, California where he met his future wife, Patricia Reid and they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 23, 1945, after starring in an Inglewood Stake musical. They sang on many programs together.
He had seven children. Carol (deceased), Sally Barr (deceased), Ronald (Orem, Ut), Alis (Gary) House (St. George, Ut), Gloria (Roger) Stewart (Highland, Ut), April (Doug) Winkleman (Orem, Ut), John (Sarah) (Logan, Ut).
Preceded in death by his siblings Fern W., Virginia Robertson, Lawrence, Marilyn Mcgowen, Willis and Shirley Barrett.
He graduated with a Masters Degree from California State at Los Angeles. He taught the Electronics program at Pasadena City College, Cal State, BYU and was chairman of the Electronics Department at Snow College. He wrote 16 technical books on Electronics. He also taught at JPL, California. He was a Bishop, Stake Sunday School President, Stake Mission President and served eight stake missions.
He had 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10th, at 11 a.m. at Timpanogos Park 2nd Ward, 1000 N. Main St., Orem. Family and friends may call Friday evening 6-8 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E 800 N., Orem, and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment, Orem City Cemetery.
