Louisa LESAGE (or Le SAGE) was born c1772

Louisa was convicted of stealing and sentenced to 7 years transportation. She arrived in Sydney Cove on 30/4/1796 on "Indispensible"

Louisa married Gabriel Louis Marie HUON DE KERILLEAU on 7/2/1801 at Parramatta and they had the following children

  • Elizabeth Broughton HUON 6/6/1797
  • Paul HUON 12/9/1799
  • Jean-Francois HUON 12/8/1802
  • Aime Augustas 16/12/1806
  • Charles HUON 24/10/1812

Her husband disappeared in December 1828

Louisa died 1842

Poor Louisa was convicted of theft from her employer although she denied this, was sent on the ship "Indispensible" arriving in 1796. There she was indentured to become Governess to Captain Macarthur's girls where she met and married Gabriel, Rev. Samual Marsden performed the ceremony, but the Catholic Church did not recognise the marriage so they had to perform the ceremony again two years later so there children could be baptised.
