Alexander Drury Walker and Sabeller Whitsett were married in Sumner County, Tennessee on December 15, 1789. Both were born in North Carolina. Alexander was the oldest son of John and Ann Barnett Walker. Alexander and Sebeller lived in Davidson County, Tennessee on Neelys Bend Road near the Cumberland River until their deaths. Both are buried on the site of the old farm. Alexander was appointed Lieutenant in the militia for Davidson County on December 15, 1790. He also was a planter. Alexander is buried on land his father received in a grant on April 17, 1786 from the State of NC. His father and mother were most likely buried here also. Together they had 10 children.
The oldest son, John A. Walker, married Elizabeth Henry Saunders of Sumner County. They are both buried in the Saunders Cemetery in Sumner County, Tennessee.
Sarah "Sally" Walker married Josiah Walton from Sumner County. Both are buried in the Walton Cemetery off Station Camp Creek Road in Sumner County, Tennessee.
Ann W. Walker married Landon C. Farrar from Albemarle County, Virginia. Landon died in 1828 in Davidson County leaving Ann with 3 children. Ann moved to Noxubee County with her children. She died in Noxubee County, Mississippi about 1848. Children were: Robert Sheldon Farrar, Cynthia Sheldon Farrar, and Elizabeth Walker Farrar.
Matilda Walker died 8 months after her father, she never married and she is buried here with both of her parents.
Alexander M. Walker moved to Noxubee County, Mississippi. and purchased a great deal of land and slaves with his brother Lawrence. Location of his death is unknown.
Cynthia Walker (other than being listed in her father's will, nothing more is known about her.)
Lawrence Whitsett Walker moved to Perry County, Alabama in his early 20's where he married Sophia Susan Cade. Sophia died on March 27, 1855 after having 5 sons that were present at the time of her death (according to her obituary.) Sophia is buried in the Walker Cemetery in Macon, Mississippi. Lawrence married Catherine Ophelia Prince from Sumner County, Tennessee, after Sophia's death. Both Lawrence and Catherine died in Gallatin, Tennessee with location of burials unknown. Elizabeth Walker married one of John and Elizabeth Coffee Menees' sons, Benjamin Menees. The Menees were neighbors who lived across Neelys Bend Road. Elizabeth and Benjamin followed her brother Lawrence to Noxubee County, Mississippi, during the 1850's where they had 7 children. Benjamin and Elizabeth are both buried in the Sharon Cemetery near the Deerbrook Community in Noxubee County, Mississippi.
Sebella "Sally" T. Walker married Mathew Nelson in Davidson County, Tennessee, on August 7, 1828. Both also moved to Noxubee County, Mississippi, in 1834 where they had 4 children. Both are buried in the Deerbrook Community in the Deerbrook Cemetery not far from her sister Elizabeth Menees.
James W. Walker lived most of his life with his sister, Sally Walton, in Sumner County, Tennessee. He is buried in the Walton Cemetery with his sister.
