• ' Lt.-Col. David Francis Brand, 5th Viscount Hampden of Glynde was born on 14 June 1902.2 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Thomas Walter Brand, 3rd Viscount Hampden of Glynde and Lady Katharine Mary Montagu Douglas Scott.1 He married Hon. Imogen Alice Rhys, daughter of Walter FitzUryan Rhys, 7th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor and Lady Margaret Child-Villiers, on 14 July 1936.2 He died on 4 September 1975 at age 73.2
• ' He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Hertfordshire Regiment.2 He gained the rank of Deputy Assistant Adjutant & Quartermaster-General in the service of the Madagascar.2 He succeeded to the title of 5th Viscount Hampden of Glynde, co. Sussex [U.K., 1884] on 17 October 1965.1

• Anthony David Brand, 6th Viscount Hampden DL (7 May 1937 – 4 January 2008), was a British stock broker, Sussex land owner, South Downsman, hereditary peer and land agent.
• Brand was the son of the cricketer and financier 'David Brand, 5th Viscount Hampden (1902–1975) by his wife Imogen Alice Rhys', daughter of the Walter Rice, 7th Baron Dynevor. He had two younger sisters. He succeeded his father in 1975. Educated at Eton and a member of White's, he married in 1969, Cara Fiona (marriage dissolved 1988), elder daughter of Claud Proby (they had two sons and one daughter); he married secondly in 1993, Mrs Sally Snow, daughter of Sir Charles Hambro of Hambros Bank. He was at Lazard Brothers, merchant bankers, from 1956–69; and Hoare Govett, stockbrokers, from 1970–82. His uncle the 4th Viscount (1900–1965) had been managing director of Lazards from 1931–1965. Meanwhile his father had been chairman of the English, Scottish and Australian Bank from 1948 to c1972. .....
