Several families moved into our locale over the next few years and among them came the famous "Moulton Boys", a rugged clan of Revolutionists headed by Stephen Moulton, Jr. With him came his brother, Major Salmon Moulton, and Joseph, Benjamin, Linus and Ebenezer. The grand old patriarch of the family, Lt. Col. Stephen Moulton, Sr. had been exploring the Ohio frontier, but after a spell, for one reason or another, decided to join his family in this area. He arrived here in about 1793. Col. Moulton was a highly educated gentleman, and served his country and town in many ways.
A soldier of the Revolution.
