10 John Burbank was born in Bradford Mass Was one of the first settlers in Arundel now Kennebunk Me Millman by occupation Engaged in coasting trade and lost a large schooner on his first trip to Halifax in 1750 Was 2d Lieut in the expedition to Louisburg in 1745 His wife's name does not appear His children as far as known to the author as follows

  • i John son of John 10 was master at arms under Paul Jones in the Bon Homme Richard and the Serapis and while the latter was sinking he released the prisoners and was censured by Jones this was during the encounter with the Countess of Scarborough He was stationed at Portsmouth in the company of Capt Eliphalet Davis in 1776 Was captured in the brig Charming Polly and sent to England on board the Dalton in 1777 He subsequently settled in Lyman Me and was living there in 1837
ii Benjamin son of John 10 settled in Brownfield Me He married and had a numerous family as follows 

1 Dea Asa son of Benjamin ii married Eunice Hutchins 1751 2ndly Esther Emery 1767 3dly Hannah Foster Was Selectman in Arundel Kennebunk in 1780 Died in Feb 1824 aged 90 He was in the expedition to Louisburgh or his uncle by the same name
