About Lucinda Mercer Roberts
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Parker_massacre.
Couldn't have died in 1836 as she was married to William W. Roberts 28 jun 1844 in Brazos County, TX.
After Silas' death, she and the children lived with Joshua Hadley. She reportedly was married to Ramsey Usry and had a son, Benjamin Milan Usry. She divorced him and was married to William W. Roberts 28 June, 1844.
Benjamin Milan Usry (Lucinda's son) is listed in the 1850 census living with the McCallister family with Anglin children and a Sarah Ann James (related to Orpha James?). Because of that, I am going to surmise that Lucinda must have already died, otherwise, why would her 13 year old child be living with the neighbors?
Benjamin was born 13, Jan, 1838 and died 21 May, 1902 He is buried in Ft. Parker Memorial Cemetery, Benjamin Usry. Lucinda (Duty) Usry and Catherine (Duty) Anglin (Elisha Anglin's wife) were sisters.
