Her step-father, Elder John Parker and her half brothers, Silas and Benjamin Parker, were killed. Her 1st cousins, Rachel Plummer, Cynthia Ann Parker (the "White Squaw") and John Richard Parker, and her 2nd cousin, James Pratt Plummer, were also captured. All of them were later ransomed although the captivity of the others lasted years.
