Biography
Lucinda Marie (Sixkiller) Wagnon was born March 12, 1853 in Indian Territory in the Goingsnake District of the Cherokee Nation near what is now Westville, OK. She was the daugther of Ta-La-Du "Cricket" Sixkiller and Deborah (Whaley) Sixkiller. Lucinda was 1/4 Cherokee. (1) She married Thomas Foreman Wagnon around 1871 in Indian Territory. They had 3 sons and 3 daughters. She died December 27, 1921 in Adair County, OK. She is buried in an old family Cemetery known as Woodall/Wagnon Cemetery that is north of Westville and just southeast of Old Baptist Mission Cemetery on what was the family farm but is now private property owned by another family. Her headstone is one of the few still standing at this cemetery.
