About Lucy Witt
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Witt-534
John Witt (son of William) married Lucy (unproven maiden name of Littlebury) about 1738 probably in Goochland County, Virginia (became Albemarle County in 1744). John's wife was not Elizabeth. The John Witt who was married to Elizabeth was this John's cousin, son of John Witt II and Ann Rogers.
From this will we may infer nine children: daughter Lucy and eight sons ("seven first sons" and William). Four sons are named specifically: William, Littleberry, George, and Elisha. Since John Witt is one of the appointed executors, we may assume he is a son. Witnesses Abner, David and William Witt may be John's brothers, but are probably sons.
So we have seven sons: Abner, David, Littleberry, John, George, Elisha, and William. The eighth son is not named. Most lists include Charles Witt as the eighth son.
Origins
Parents unproven.
Lucy is named in John Witt's will as his wife. There are no records showing Lucy's surname as Littlebury, but that is the surname most often quoted. It has been surmised this was her name because one of her sons was named Littleberry/bury
