Ludwig born 1622> he stayed in Germany He had 2 sons. Hendrix and Paulus. Paulus born 1660 lived in Bohemia later moved to the Palatinate Section of Germany he married Barbara Prudentia. They had a son Martinus born in 1685 and Martinus had 3 sons moved to Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Paulus and Barbara's other son Hans,Geroge born 1689 married to Priscilla. She was born about 1690 died about 1775 George died 1773. They had 4 sons Casper(Jasper),John, Hans George born in Palatinate Province of Germany moved to Pennsylvania and Norht Carolina. George was born in 1713 died 1794 married Catherine Rein. She died in 1787 in Catawba Co. N.C. George and Catherine had five children Martin born 1735 died 11-10-1822 He married Barbara Aker in 1762 died 1823. Baltazar born 1741 died about 1780. Married Catherine Wagoner. He was on a trip to Georgia when he was mysteriouly Killed. Samuel born 1747 died may 1810 in Burke Co. N.C. He married Barbara Moser in 1778 she was born 1755. Catherine Hoffman born 1754. Elizabeth Hoffman born 1755 married Conrad Hildebrand in 1774 in Burke Co. N.C. George and Catherine's family lived in Upper Rhine Valley of the Palatine Germany the section was called Electoral Palatine located near Heidelberg Germany. They left Germany cause of the great religious movement the Reformation and fled to America. George and Catherine took their children in spring of 1749. Then spend 5 wks. on a river boat going down the Rhine River to Rotterdam, Holland and waited 12 days they left Europe on Aug. 12 1749 Headed to America on the British Ship the Jacob it dropped anchor at the English Port Cowes where it was detained for 8 days as all emigrants theere were required to renounce their allegiance to Great Brittain and then make preparation for the final voyage across the Atlantic Oc.They landed Oct.1,1749 at Port Philadelphia Penn. They spent their first year in Berk Co. Penn. 1750 They joined the Germany migration South stopping in the Shenandoah Valley section of Virginia. In 1752 they joined the Germany, Dutch, and Scotch migration settled Great Alamance section in Orange Co. but is now known as Alamance Co. In 1765 George moved his family throught the Yadkin River and on to Catawba River Valley. They crossed the Catwaba River and went about 8 miles in to the head-waters of Clarks Creek where they settled today that is 2 miles west of the Town Conover N.C.Samuel in 1778 married Barbara Moser of Liles Creek Burke Co. They settled in Burke Co. and build a log house on the banks of the Upper South Fork RiverThis is when the name was spelled Huffman they were the first to spell it that way.They had 10 children 1- Eva born 1778 Died 1860 married Leonard Higdon in 1795 he died 1818. 2- Mary born 1779 married John Moser. 3- Elizabeth (Betty) born 1780 died 1850 married Thomas Walker. 4- Abram Huffman born 1782 married Betty Burns. 5-Frederick Huffman born Feb. 9, 1784 in Berke Co. N.C. died 1884 in Jackson Co. N>C. married Francis Warlick AKA Francis Hildebrand.6- Burke Huffman born 1789 died 5-21-1858 in Lowa he married to Mary Miller. 7- Casper(Jasper) born 1792. 8- Cathereine born 1794. 9- Barbara Moser Huffman born 1798 died 1860 married to William(Billy) Carswell born 1798 died 1863. 10- Michael born 12-18-1798died 3-31-1872.
