About Luis Bersamin Jr.

Luis Bersamin Jr. was a Filipino politician. He had served as Mayor of Bangued, Abra from June 30, 1987 to March 1998; and Vice Governor of Abra from June 30, 1998 to June 30, 2001. He later represented the lone district of Abra at the House of Representatives of the Philippines from June 30, 2001 to December 16, 2006, when he, along with his police escort SPO1 Adelfo Ortega, were killed by Jerry Turqueza on the order of Bersamin's political rival, former Governor of Abra Vicente Valera.
