"Luther Mahoney, 83, died at 9:05 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Fort Wayne A lifelong resident of Huntington, Mr. Mahoney had resided at 725 Grayston Ave. He was employed at the H. K. Poter Company for 36 years, retiring in 1962. He was a veteran of World War I.
Mr. Mahoney was born July 23, 1894 in Huntington Township to Marion and Annie Fist Mahoney, and his marriage was July 15, 1961 to the former Helen Rosen, who survives. Also surviving are two step daughter, Mrs Richard (Bonnie) Pressler, Rt. 6 and Mrs Charles (Dora) Hale, Huntington; two step-grandsons: three Step-great-granddaughters and a sister, Mrs Thomas (Pauline) Wheeler, Columbus, Ohio. Deceased are three Brothers and five sisters. Friends may call at the Bailey Mortuary where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. James O. McAvoy officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. Service for Luther Mahoney were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Bailey Mortuary, with Rev. James McAvoy officiating. Pallbearers were Richard Pressler, Bruce Pressler, Breck Pressler, Charles Hale, and Jay Bartness. Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery."
