134 Page 134 Lydia Herrick; d. Feb. 12, 1739, in the 77th year of her age; m. John, son of Samuel and Hannah (Dodge) Porter, of Wenham, Mass., who was b. 1658, and d. Mar. 8, 1753, in the 95th year of his age. He was representative to the General Court, 1712, '24, and '26; moderator of town meetings, 1723, '24, '27, '28, and '29; maltster and farmer. In 1692, during the witchcraft delusion, he and his wife Lydia were witnesses at court and testified against one Goody Bibber, who accused Sarah Wildes of bewitching her.
