LYMAN A. WEMPLE Dies in South

BOONVILLE _ Glen a Wemple has received word of the death of his father, Lyman A. Wemple, 85, which occurred April 25, 1939 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Delfido Cordova, Morehead N. C., where he and Mrs. Wemple had been spending the winter.

Mr. Wemple was born at Troy, son of the late Abram and Mary S. Wemple. His early life was spent in Troy and Albany, where he received his education.

In 1892, he married Miss Alvina Pendorf, Oneida. For several years he served as postmaster at Wampsville, where he conducted a general store. Later he was connected with various firms in Oneida and Buffalo and the Oneida Community Ltd.. Until his retirement in 1925.

Since his retirement he and Mrs. Wemple have spent the summers with their son here and winters with the daughter.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and interested in various choral societies in Oneida and Boonville. Surviving besides his wife, daughter and son mentioned, is another daughter, Mrs. Mareda Sharp, White Plains; also four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The body was brought here for funeral services.
