MSgt. Dalton Ernest Ellerbe

Lakeland- Dalton Ernest Ellerbe, age 84, passed away April 3, 2018. He was born July 1, 1933 in Lakeland, FL. He served his country with 4 years in the US Navy and 17 years in the US Air Force, serving during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of Carter Baptist Church.

Dalton was preceded in death by his parents: Lester and Bessie Ellerbe, brother: Dillon Ellerbe, sister: Sandra Deese and grandson: Christopher Ellerbe.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Ellerbe, daughter: Ginger (Earl) Welch of Winter Haven, FL, sons: Ernie (Bonnie) Ellerbe of Valley Head, AL, David (Bridget) Ellerbe, Mark (Tracy) Ellerbe and Steven (Denise) Ellerbe all of Lakeland, FL, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, sisters: Sheila (Ronnie) Mott and Scherry (Alan) Witt, and brother: Dale (Carol) Ellerbe.
