Mabel Hills

Note: the death date for Mabel comes from a web source, but is consistent with other records concerning this family, such as the guardianships of her children.

Mabel was the daughter of Jonathan Webster and Mabel Risley of E. Hartford and Glastonbury, Connecticut. She was married c. 1755 to Daniel Hills of East Hartford. Together they had ten children, and they both died while several of their children were minors, and needed guardians.

The maiden name for Mabel comes from a private record, but there is good reason that it is Webster. The guardian of one of the children of Daniel and Mabel, John Hills, was Job Risley, who was a brother-in-law of Mabel (Job Risley, Jr. married Mary Webster, a sister of Mabel). There may be other family connections as well.

The burial location for Mabel has not been determined.
