About Mable Boe

Mabel was born May 9, 1920, in Alma, Wis., to parents Frank and Katherine (Thoeny) Zirzow, one of

10 children. She married Raymond Boe on Nov. 11, 1950, in Alma, and together they farmed in Springfield Township, Jackson County.

Mabel's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her. She greatly enjoyed spending time with them and cooking and baking for them. Gardening and growing flowers were other special pastimes of Mabel's. Years ago, she enjoyed spending time quilting and crocheting.

Mabel and her husband hosted the second annual Jackson County Dairy Breakfast at their farm in Sprngfield Township. She enjoyed taking part in the annual Taylor Old Fashioned Days celebration. One year, she and her husband were crowned king and queen of the festivities.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond; three sons, Darwin (Martha) Boe of North Wales, Pa., Gary (Peggy) Boe of Taylor and Daryl (Kathy) Boe of Taylor; one daughter, Sharon (Russell) Quinnell of Kasson, Minn.; two sisters, Eleanor Herold of Rochester, Minn., and Delores Noll of Alma; six grandchildren, Aaron, Ben, Steve, Chris, Cera and David; three great-grandchildren, Dusty, Alivia and Jaxon; besides many other relatives and friends.

Mabel was preceded in death by infant twin daughters; brothers, Oscar and Melvin; and sisters, Gertrude, Edna, Ella, Wilma and Evelyn.
