Major-General Sir Thomas Henry Symons KBE CSI OBE (1872 - 1948) was the director general of the Indian Army medical corps. He was made Lt Colonel on 1917, awarded CBE i 1925 and knighted in 1929. There is a portrait at the National Portrait Gallery
