Received his education in Steuben Co. school system when his father was
Suprintendant of Schools. Worked as laborer at several jobs in the
county. Helped lay tracks for the new railroad running thru southern N.Y.

1850 CENSUS Steuben - Greenwood, Steuben, NY age 16 (have)
and IGI 0 1044 N.Y. pg. 36,383 & 36,380.

6 July 1855 CENSUS-Hornellsville Steuben NY age 21 Still single living
with parents. (have)

31 Oct 1855 age 21 MARRIAGE- Eunice Webb at the Hornellsville House.

He worked at several jobs in the county. One job included laying new R.R.
tracks thru southern NY

They immediately moved to Platte City. Platte Co. Missouri to farm along
the Missouri River across from Kansas on choice fertile river bottom
land, subject to flooding. they could look acrossthe Missouri River and
see the lands of Kansas.

Son Clement b. there 1862? Clara born there 1864. 1866 Son Franklin
was born in Platte City, and Gertrude born 1870.

2 boys were drowned while living South. The 2 sons were not named nor
mentioned in any writeup. However sons John and Fred did die the same
