GEDCOM Note
Per email message posted to P.G. Co., MD gen list from Larry Drane: "...it is very accepted that Susannah Brashear married Mareen Duvall in 1679. They are my 7th great grandparents. Not only does the new Brashear book indicate that is correct, but it refers to Troy Back and Leon Brashear's book, "The Brashear/Brashears Family, 1449-1929". You will also find the information in "Mareen Duvall of Middle Plantation" by Harry Wright Newman. Newman does indicate that it is not proven, but that "Invisible factors point to the conclusion that his wife, Susannah was none other than the third and Virginia-born daughter of his compatriot-in-exile, Benois Brasseur...." This last book quoted is the official book for the Society of Descendants of Mareen Duvall of which I am a member."
