Biography
Margaret "Margery" Whipple was born in 1690 in Providence, Rhode Island Colony, the daughter of Jonathan Whipple and Margaret (Angell) Whipple. She was the sister of Mary Whipple, Sarah (Whipple) Irons, Silas Whipple, Johnathon Whipple and Thomas Whipple.
Margery married first, Joseph Borden on 17 September 1712 in Providence, Rhode Island Colony. They had one child, Joseph Borden. [1] Margery's husband, Joseph, drowned in the Woonasquatucket River in 1713.[2] She was made administratrix and guardian of his child after presenting an inventory of his property to the Town Council.
Margery married second,Peter Barnes on 29 September 1716 in Providence, Rhode Island Colony. [3] They had at least the following children, all born on the plantation at Smithfield in Providence:

The date of Margaret's death is not known. She is reportedly buried at Peter Barnes Lot in Smithfield, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA. [5]
