Margaret Chisholme

MARGARET CHISHOLM (aka MARGARET CHISHOLM)

Margaret Chisholm, here treated is the daughter of Thomas Chisholme and Agnes Bannatyne. She was born before 15 October 1751, the date upon which her baptism was registered at Selkirk in Selkirkshire, Scotland. [National Records of Scotland, Selkirk Baptisms, 1720-66, reference OPR.778/2]

The Inventory of her deceased husband's moveable estate

On 20 December 1796 Thomas Turnbull, writer in Jedburgh, acting for Mrs. Margargaret Chilsholm alias Scott, gave up the Inventory of the Testament Dative of her late husband, the Reverend Robert Scott of Coldouse. John Thomson, writer in Jedburgh, acted himself as cautioner for the widow, Mrs. Margaret Chisholm alias Scott, presently residing in Edinburgh.
