Margaret Cox

The only information that has been found so far about Margaret Cox is on an 1850 Census record from Hardeman, TN. She is listed as Margaret Cox, born in MS, 18 years old- birth year was 1832. Although she is listed on the census as Margaret Cox, there is no proof that she is John's daughter from a previous marriage, she may have been a niece. More research has to be done. He would have been 27 when she was born, and a younger brother George M. Cox was born in 1837; so it is plausible that she may have been John's first child.
