About Margaret Crowe

Margaret Dennis was the 2nd wife of Sir John Philipps, 1st Baronet of Picton Castle, married 1613. No record of children.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Philipps-244

Sir John Philipps, 1st Bt. (1560-1629) was the son of Morgan Philipps and Elizabeth Fletcher. He married (1) Anne Perrot, daughter of Sir John Perrot, on 11 November 1585 3s. 8da and (2) Margaret Denys, daughter of Sir Thomas Denys of Bigton, Devon s.p.

Disputed Origins

Marjory Denys has previously been shown as daughter of Robert Dennis and Margaret Godolphin. There is no evidence for this. She is not listed in the Dennis of Holcombe Burnell pedigree in the Visitations of Devon.[7]. However, she is listed as his daughter in the Philipp of Picton Visitation, and as Margaret.

Burke’s has: “Margaret Dennis is the daughter of Sir Thomas Dennis.2 She married, firstly, Sir John Philipps, 1st Bt., son of Morgan Philipps and Elizabeth Fletcher.1 She married, secondly, Henry Crowe.”

I left the GEDCOM import stuff below, but a lot of this information doesn't really mesh with the 2nd wife of Sir John Philipps Bt. - his 1st wife was alive c.1594, not sure how they 9 kids and Margaret Dennys was the da. of Sir Thomas Dennys of Bicton, Devon, spelling change on both names. Also no record of them having any kids (aka Robert Philipps or Phillips https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Phillips-152)
