Margaret Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton of Cochna, married, as his third wife, James Dunlop of Garnkirk [Glasgow and West of Scotland Family History Society Newsletter, No 48 Spring 1997, pp. 4-11 for the second and concluding part of Donald Whyte's scholarly account of the family of Dunlop of Garnkirk].
