As noted in this FamilySearch.org user's tree, the parentage of Margaret Hord is not clear - some sources give her father as Roger Hord, while other sources state it was John Hord.
Joseph Morris, Shropshire Genealogies, volume 2, page 600, states Margaret was the daughter of Roger Hoord; that John Hoord was her brother who died without issue and whose IPM was held in 1397.
John Edwards Griffith, Pedigrees of Anglesey and Carnarvonshire Families, page 216, calls her Margaret, daughter of John Hoorde of Walford, Ross.
Tresswell, Visitation of Shropshire, 1623, volume 29, page 294, calls her Margaret daughter and heiress of John Hoord of Walford, Shropshire.
Manuscript "Llyfr Silin", printed in Archaelogical Cambrensis, volume 5, fifith series, page 341 calls her "Margred verch John Hwrt Arglwydd Walwrt yr Sir y Mwythig ap Roger Hwrt ap Richard Hwrt."
"Pedigrees: Hatchet, Bulkeley, Owen, Mainwaring, Kynaston, Thelwell" in Cardiff City Library, page 22, makes her the daughter of John Hoord of Walford, Shropshire.
Margaret Hord was also known by a Welsh version of her name, Margred verch John Hwrt.

"Margaret, dau. and heir of John Hord, esq. of Walford, co. Salop, mar. Griffith Kynaston, esq. qui vixit Hen. VI. and had issue. (Pedigree of Kynaston, Burke's Commoners, ii. 358.)"

In the Heraldic visitations of Wales and part of the Marches Margaret's name is given as Jane, and names her father as Roger Hoord; William Smith Ellis and Robert William Eyton state that Roger was her grandfather:
"state that Gruffydd Kynaston's wife was Jane, daughter and heir of Roger Hoord, son of Richard Hoord, son of Richard Hoord, Lord verth, county of Salop."
