Peoria Journal Star, The (IL) - March 25, 2006 Deceased Name: Margaret Mackey PEORIA - Margaret J. Mackey, 88, of Peoria passed away at 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home.

She was born on Jan. 8, 1918, in Peoria to Thomas and Margaret McDonough Dunne. She married John R. Mackey on Aug. 9, 1945, in Peoria. He passed away on March 19, 1985, in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was a secretary for 39 years at Caterpillar Inc., retiring in 1982.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Caterpillar Girl's Club.

A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Franciscan Friars officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the Mass at the church. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
