4 May 1478: Notarial instrument relating to the delivery to Sir James Flemyng, rector of Chergraple as procurator for Alexander, Lord Home and Lady Margaret Montgomery, his spouse of 48 cows by the tenants of the lands of Galowbereis, lordship of Stewarton and their delivery by said sir James as procurator foresaid to Thomas Home, natural son of Alexander and Margaret. Before July 1467 Sir Alexander Home remarried (2) Margaret, daughter of Alexander, Master of Montgomerie by his spouse Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Adam Hepburn of Hailes. They had a further three boys:
- Sir Thomas, of Langshaw, Ayrshire.
- Nicholas (indicating that Nicholas by the first marriage had probably died young)
- David.
