Norfolk Parish Register Marriages, Vol. 1, pg: 22: Roberte Page & Margaret Goodwynge (Goodwin) were married in the parish of Hemblington. 16 July 1598. As Hemblington is only four miles from Acle, and as this Page was the only person of the name there married, he is no doubt the Robert page of Acle.

At least two published, peer reviewed, articles provide detailed information about Robert Page and his wife, Margaret Goodwin. The first appeared in 1912[1]; the second, in 1987.[2] Both published accounts associate only five children with the family of Robert and Margaret (Goodwin) Page. From the later account and in brief, these five children are

  1. Francis Page, born ca 1600; died Ormesby, 1666, unmarried.
  2. Robert Page, immigrant to New England; settled Salem briefly before removing to Hampton, where he died 1679; married South Walsham, 1629 to Lucy Warde.
  3. Thomas Page, baptized at Hemsby, 1 May 1605
  4. Rebecca Page, baptized at Ormesby St. Michael, 16 May 1608, m. ____ Rix.
  5. Henry Page, born ca1610.
