Margaret Park Dugan

Robert Dougan, Sr. (?-1786, Newberry SC) married Margaret __ Park (widow of Samuel Park, d. <1839, Penna). Her son with Samuel Park was Anthony Park, one of the early settlers (along with his stepfather, Robert Dugan) of Newberry District, SC. See Newberry County, SC Historical and Genealogical Annals, page 373, as well as The Annals of Newberry: In Two Parts, by John Belton O'Neall, page 53.

Before the Revolution, Robert, Sr. and family had moved to the Indian Creek area on the Enoree River in present-day Newberry County, SC. Two of Robert Sr.'s sons, James and Robert, were massacred at or near their home by a band of Tories in 1781.
