Margaret Sorbie was born in 1901 in Scotland, UK, daughter of John Sorbie and Janet "Jessie" Violet (McCrae) Sorbie.
In 1929, Margaret, age 27, joined with her mother, Janet Sorbie, and siblings, Christina, age 15, and John, age 24, to take passage on the ship, Montroyal, from Greenock, Scotland to arrive, on 4 May 1929, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They were joining with their father and mother's husband, John Sorbie, at 28 Alexander St., Toronto, Canada.
In 1970, Margaret Sorbie, age 69, died in Canada.
