About Margaret Sullivant
Margaret SULLIVANT. She was the daughter of 2. Owen SULLIVANT II and 3. Mary Margaret HEWLETT.
Sullivant estate to Sullivant
Whereas Owen Sullivant, late of Charlotte County, by his last will and testament, bearing date of 12 Oct 1768, among other things devised his five daughters, namely, Patience, Frances, Margaret, Mandelin and Elizabeth, 60 acres of land lying on Twitty's Creek, part of the tract whereon the said Owen then lived with a plantation and apple orchard to them during life, if not married. But as some are now married and moved and have no claim to the said land, and by the same will did devise to his son Owen Sullivant these among other lands, the said 60 acres and plantation, after all his aforesaid daughter's death or marriage, which should first happen, to him. All the said daughters having married, except the aforesaid Frances, and she, Frances, having contracted with the said Owen the younger, to release all claims, this writing, the witness whereof the said Frances Sullivant, for 5 shillings, releases all title and claim to the 60 acres of land.
