Biography

Margaret (Cornish) Swett / 20 and Odd, 1619 Project was born between 1594 and circa 1619 in Africa. Her father was Fnu Lnu. She was a Negro woman servant belonging to Lieutenant Sheppard.

Margaret married John Goin, of the White Lion. Together they had the following children: Mahill Goins; Fnu (Goins) Cumbo.

Margaret married Robert "The Elder" Sweatt, The Immigrant Elder in 1635 in Virginia, United States. Together they had the following children: Robert Cornish Sweat, of Norfolk VA Colony; William "of Southwarke" Sweat; Anthony Cornish; Jane Sweat Gussal Harman.

She died between 1642 and 1722 in Tidewater, Richmond County, VA.

Margaret Cornish was born in 1610, in Luanda, Luanda, Angola as the daughter of Fnu Lnu. She married Robert Sweat in 1639, in James City, Virginia, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. She died in 1677, in Hog Island, Fairfax, Virginia, United States, at the age of 67, and was buried in Surry, Virginia, United States.
