However, she made her last will and testament at Glasgow on 9 December 1652, added a codicil on 17 December 1652, and probably died very soon thereafter. She certainly died before 31 December 1652. Her Last Will and Testament
Margaret Thomson, here treated, made her last will and testament at Glasgow on 9 December 1652. She nominated William, Daniell and Elizabeth Wallace, her children, as her only executors and universal intromitters with her goods and gear. She also appointed John Wallace, her eldest son, James Pedie, Skinner, John Park, maltman, and James Thomson, Cordiner, to be overseers to her before mentioned three children, and further nominated James Pedie, John Park and James Thomson, to be tutors to her two youngest children, Daniell and Elizabeth Wallace, during their pupilarity.
