Margareta Christina Hörlin

Was said to be a mason's widow. Listed as widow in 1880 census of Sweden. Lived in Justizia 33/34; a large quarter in Catharina, Stockholm.

On March 28 1835 the girl Greta Stina Gottberg was registered at the General Orphanage in Stockholm. Her birth date was 24 Sept 1822. She was left there by her mother, the gardsman widow Anna Greta Gottberg, for transfer to a foster home. She was sent to mill manager Lars Gustaf Bodell at Wira Bruk in Roslags-Kulla parish in the province Uppland. From 1837 she worked at different houses in the parish, at the vicarage, at the parish clerks, at the millers, and back at the vicarage. In 1843 she left for Stockholm. We do not know where she lived i Stockholm 1843 but in May 1846 she moved from S:t Nikolai parish to Jakobs parish and in Oct 1850 to Hedvig Eleonora parish. There she married Johan Jansson Hörlin on 24 Nov 1851.
