About Margit Fürth
Margit married Moritz Furth, a double first cousin (son of Ferenc Furth). Margit and Morirz survived World War II in a protected home in Budapest, Hungary. After the war they remained for a time in Budapest. There "in Margit's kitchen", many of the relatives spent leisure time in conversations. The kitchen, albeit tiny, proved an ideal setting for the intellectual and personal discussions sparked by Margit. Margit wrote novels, poetry and political statements.
While in Budapest Margit worked as secretary at the Dohanyi (Budapest's great synagogue).
Some years after the war, Margit and Moritz moved to Israel and lived on a kibbutz called Maabaroth.
