Margaret Sefton Brown

<p>Emigrated to Pt Phillip in 1841 with her father David, his new wife Rebecca and her brothers and sisters.</p>Her marrage certificate indicates that she had not learnt to write. Margaret's early married life was spent in tents and huts looking after her large family of sixteen, all of whom survived birth, although 3 of them died as children. She was a completely different temperament from her husband, though absolutely devoted to him. She died at "Sugarloaf House" Colerarine. She had 13 married children, 85 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
