Wife of Joanne’s Lauren’s van Elsen Mother of 8 children Antonet , Bernard, Maria, Mieke, Jan-Bart, Louis, Sophie and Bert. Active in the Dutch resistance during WWII and honoured for helping the Allied forces to escape to the detriment to herself and her family, Whereby an escape was put into action. Refer to the book Black Christmas , author Tjeerd Vrij Recognised for her assistance by the English and American governments and with the Herdenkingskruis van the Netherlands.. Emigrated to Australia with her husband and 8 children where she found safety and peace. Mimi as she was known died at not quite age 72 .
