(From Albert Henry Yoder director of U. Extension , U. of N.D. Grand Forks, N.D., 19927).. His sons went down the Ohio in their own flatboat in 1806. The family settled in Shelby co., Ky.. but after a generation moved to Monroe co., In. At the same time Michael van Buskirk went to Ky.. Wynanat Vandeventer went with him or joined him sooon after his arrival."
