Captain Michael VANBUSKIRK b. 1720/21 NJ m. 1745 Maria/Mary VANDEVENTERwent down the Ohio River to KY with Wynant VANDEVENTER b. 1757 NJ and his 4 sons. The VANDEVENTERS and VANBUSKIRKS lived in Shelby, Spencer, and Anderson Co., KY. Michael and Maria VANBUSKIRK both died in Shelby Co.,

KY, sons Isaac and John came to IN about 1818.

NOTE: Wynant the son of Barnet and Jannetje Vandeventer

His sons went down the Ohio (River) on their own flatboats in 1806 (to Shelby Co., KY). After one generation, they moved to Monroe Co., IND. Wynant Vandeventer went with them and joined them in Shelby Co., KY. (Bible Records.)

Isaac born 1760 and he married Jerusha Littell/Little, they migrated to IN and settled in Monroe Co., IN. His brother John married Mary Littell/Little (sister to Jerusha) and they settled in Greene Co., IN. Abram Buskirk, judge in Monroe Co. is the oldest son of John and Mary.
