Marian Ruth Lewis

Marian Ruth Lewis, 85, of Cheyenne died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Davis Hospice Center.

She was born October 18, 1926 in Windsor, Colorado and had lived here since 1953.

She married Eugene Lewis on August 14, 1945.

Marian was the telephone operator at the Cheyenne VA Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of North Christian Church as well as the Mother Singers, Eagles, War Mother's, and a quilting club. She played the piano for many bands for seniors, hospitals, and barn dances.

Marian is survived by six sons, Mark A. (Rose) Lewis of Findlay, Ohio, Dan L. (Jackie) Lewis of Spokane, Washington, John D. (Marla) Lewis of Chandler, Arizona, and Gary A. Lewis, Glen A. (Debbie) Lewis and Jim D. Lewis, all of Cheyenne; a daughter, Mary R. (David) White of Cheyenne; a brother, Kenneth Comin; two sisters, Nadine Tyson and Lois Hettinger; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene A. Lewis; two sons, Rush E. Lewis and Paul L. Lewis; parents, Arnot and Ruth A. Comin; three brothers, Howard Comin, Byron Comin, and Orrin Comin and two sisters, Delphine Hart and Irene Thompson.
