16 April 1685: General Charge at the instance of Mr. James Lawsone, Writer in Edinburgh, against Sir Gilbert Kennedy of Girvanmains, son and apparent heir of Sir John Kennedy of Girvanmains, and grandson of deceased Sir Gilbert Kennedy of Girvanmains, and against Agnes, Dorothy, Marie and Jean Kennedy, daughters and heirs portioners of said deceased Gilbert charging them to enter heirs to said Sir John and Gilbert Kennedy for payment of debt due by them to said Mr. James Lawsone National Records of Scotland, Kennedy of Dalquharran Writs and Inventories, reference GD27/1/245
