About Marie Therese Unknown
Claude junior married about 1686 to Marie-Thérèse Amérindienne who was a Mik'maq woman. They moved to the Mouskoudabouet and by 1706 they had raised seven children.
Note: Sauvagesse was not really a "name" but a description. It's the feminine form of Sauvage, which translates to "savage" or "wild woman" (aka indian)
Marie was a full blooded Micmac Indian (one of the Algonquin tribes).

:DNA. The Mothers of Acadia Maternal DNA project is conducting ongoing research to verify the origins of Acadians. In 2010, Stephen White reported that a descendant of Marie Therese had a haplogroup of B2c. I don't know the details re how many of her descendants were tested, but the haplogroup indicates Amerindian origins. Ongoing test results are also reported here. As of June 2014, there were two results reported, both haplogroup B, but differing beyond the first letter.
