Marjorie Tomlin

MAGNA/HURRICANE --Marjorie Gee Tomlin, 86, passed away October 10, 2000 in Tooele, Utah. She was born May 23, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank and Allie Dall Gee. She graduated from Cyprus High, class of 1932 and lived in Magna most of her life then moved to Hurricane fourteen years ago. She married Joe Driffill in 1934, later divorced. Married Dean Tomlin June 24, 1949, their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple May 23, 1984.

Marjorie worked at KCC, Tooele Army Depot, and Auerbach's Dept. Store. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She was an expert seamstress and loved to embroider. She also loved to travel, and her favorite words were, "Let's go."

Survived by children, Joe (LaRae) Driffill, of Hurricane, Dick (Shirlene) Tomlin, of Mesa, AZ, and Barbara (Ross) Bell, of Tooele; sister, Elaine (Don) Hall; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grand-children. Preceded in death by son, Dale Driffill; parents; husband; sisters, Phyllis Tomlin and Bernice Thomas; grandson, Craig; and great-grandchildren, Mandy Shields and Jesse Ray Tomlin.

Thank you to Tooele Valley Nursing Home and Heritage Hospice for their care given to Marjorie. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2000 at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Dr. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Magna Utah Stake Center, 3084 South 8400 West.
